Falconry-based Bird Management for Commercial Sites

We regularly employ Urban Wings, to complement our team, to provide Falconry and Bird Pest Control and Management services at our clients' premises.

Having started with an infestation of around 1000 pigeons, we have seen a 95% reduction in the number of Feral Pigeons and a 100% eradication of Seagulls nesting at the hospital site since Andy and his hawks and falcons have been employed here.

The pigeons are no longer considered a problem to our operations. Andy is always professional and courteous. He has fitted into the Estates Maintenance team very well and always works well within our team.

Andy has also supported our public Open Days for the past 3 years with displays and handling experiences for the public and staff, raising money for the hospital childrens charity.

The birds are a popular attraction and brighten the day for patients, visitors and staff at the hospital. Andy is always willing to take the time to talk to people about the birds and their role here, acting as a great abassador for the hospital programme. We have been very pleased with the service provided by Urban Wings at Wyndham Court. When Urban Wings were first engaged in 2021, there were over 160 birds living and nesting across the site, causing significant fouling of pathways and communal areas that required daily cleaning.

Through a professional and effective falconry programme, the bird population was successfully reduced, resulting in a much cleaner and more pleasant environment for residents.

Following a period away from the site, Urban Wings returned in March 2025 when pigeon numbers began to increase again. Since then, they have stemmed this growth, reduced the gull population by around 50%, and brought fouling down to a minor level, with only a small number of pigeons remaining on site.
Andy provides a great personal service and takes the time to engage with residents, explaining the programme and giving small demonstrations so people can see the birds at work and better understand their role. He is approachable, knowledgeable and always willing to answer questions.

We contacted Urban Wings after experiencing on-going problems with gulls and pigeons at our client’s manufacturing site and were immediately impressed by Andy and Emily’s professional and knowledgeable approach.
